Player Name: Iblis
Character Name: Timaeus Rhodes
Alias:
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Race: Commoner
Country: None
Personality: First and foremost, Timaues is a very proud young man, seeing himself on a higher level than most everyone else. He only gives his respect and trust to those who he considers his "equals" which are few and far between. The only way one can be equal to him is to either match or defeat him in battle, or if he sees somewhat perform an incredibly amazing and heroic feat.
While his cockiness and introverted nature make him seem like a jerk, he actually is a good person at heart. He sees it as his duty to protect those as he sees "below" him, and watch over and support their growth. He is very supportive, and is quick to see all the positive skills and abilities a person may possess. And while Timaeus can tend to be a "lone wolf" he isn't completely anti-social, and enjoys forming bonds similar to friendship with people.
However, the biggest flaw in Timaeus's personality is his incredibly aggressive nature. He is quick to anger and absolutely cannot stand anyone talking back to him or disrespecting him in any form. He is quick to lose himself to the thrill of battle, and can become surprisingly savage and unforgiving, which is one of his greatest weaknesses.
History: Long ago, the Rhodes were a strong, noble family, well known for producing some of the finest warriors and blacksmithes in the world. The source of there power, however, was the ore that only the Rhode family knew of, Spectrium. However, the worlds kingdoms eventually grew to fear the Rhode's and their mysterious metal, and launched a joint campaigne to rid the world of both.
As strong as they were, the Rhodes stood no chance against the nation's armies, and soon they along with their precious ore where brought to the brink of extinction. However, both still survived, and for centuries the last of the Rhodes continued to hide with their ore, their already small numbers dwindling with each generation. Until many centuries later, only one Rhode remained. This man, named Alexander Rhodes, took it upon himself to take revenge against the world for what they did to his family. Using the last of the world's Spectrium, he forged the weapon Locris. However, Alexander's will was not strong enough, and the very weapon he forged denied him. However, not to be discouraged, he took a rather strange to ensure his revenge. Taking the fortune he had accumulated over his life time and went to a family of well known warriors and asked their daughter, Felicia to marry him in exchange for all of his fortune, in hopes that she would give him a heir worthy of wielding Locris. Charmed by his vendiction, she accepted his offer and they were wed. Slightly over a year later, they had a healthy boy, and named him Helios.
Helios showed the potential to be a great warrior, and at the young age of five was already able to wield Locris. However, two years later, Alexander and Felicia were graced with another child. However, things soon seemed off, as upon her seventh month of pregnancy, Felicia noticed that she had not once felt the child move once. Worried for their child, Alexander and his wife went to the best physicians they could find. They were told that their child was not dead, but was close to it, and would not survive till birth. After weeks of trying various things to improve their unborn child's health, they sadly conceeded to the fact their child would die. Realizing that continuing to bare with the child would only be dangerous to Felicia's health, doctor's stated that the best thing to do would simply be to induce labor and let the child die.
So, over a month before it was scheduled, Felicia gave birth to a small, baby boy who was barely clinging to life. Not able to bare seeing his parents act so uncharacteristically weak, not being able to bring themselves to do what everyone knew would be the right thing to do, to put the child out of his misery, and at least give him an honorable death, the eight year old Helios drew Locris from its sheath and prepared to impale the child. However, before he could bring the blade down, the baby stirred, and began to weakly cry, as Locris's blade began to admit an orange glow. Taken back by this, Helios hesitated for just an instant, and in that time the knife started to admit a searing heat, causing him to drop the blade.
Alexander, after seeing this, quickly picked Locris up from the ground and sheathed it, putting it in the babies' arms. He then turned to everyone, and explained what was happening. He stated that Spectrium resonated with a warrior's will, and increased their strength, and said that that small child, even with his weak constitution, possessed a will great enough to have Locris chose it as its new master.
Due to the increased strength he gained from Locris, the child, given the name Timaeus, grew up to be a strong young lad. Viewed as a miracle by his parents, Felicia and Alexander treated him as their most precious treasure, showing him great deals of love and even spoiling him a bit. While he had indeed changed over the years, growing soft, and even having honestly fallen in love with Felicia, Timaeus was the one who truly changed Alexander. Silently casting aside his desire for vengance, he turned his attention towards Timaeus, who he believed was destined for greatness, and would return glory to the name Rhodes.
While Timaeus grew in a happy family setting, a seed of darkness was implanted in Helios's heart. Watching his parents, who had always treated him more as a pupil than a son, who had always put him through such harsh training, the parents who implanted with him with a hatred for the world, to see those parents treat Timaeus with so much love and affection, for him to have so much just fall in his lap, he grew resentful of everything.
However, Timaeus himself had a almost enchanted, if not a slightly sheltered childhood. He was homeschooled by his mother and trained by his father. His father, who through their training, observed early on that while he possessed an increadible spirit, still had a slightly weak constitution, and instead of focusing on close ranged fighting, taught him simple, strategic self defense manuvers, while focusing his training on using long ranged weapons.
At the age of ten, Timaeus was enrolled in his village's school system. While instilled with a since of superiorty at even that young of an age, he still did well in public school, and made several friends. He even managed to gain the affections of a young girl named Alice, and the two grew very close, and started officially dating at the age of thirteen.
However, his seemingly fairy tale life became forever darker on his fifteenth birthday. He was in the middle of his party, talking to three of his friends, when suddenly, -slash- all of their heads rolled to the floor, Helios standing behind them, twin axes in hand. Helios spat at his family, claiming they had become weak, claiming that he was the one with the right to wield Locris, and challenged his brother to a duel to the death. Timaeus, feeling enraged and betrayed by his brother's actions, took to arms, unsheathing his blade.
From noon til dusk, the two brothers fought, the children,
paralyzed in fear, their parents, while afraid for their sons lives, dared not to interrupt their fight. Helios spent the entire time on the offensive, while poor Timaeus struggled to simply evaded his attacks. However as the sun set, and Helios clearly showed the upper hand, Alexander made a hard decision, not wanting his golden child to die, with tears in his eyes, he decided that he would aid Timaeus without directly interfering.
Catching the boy's attention, Alexander tossed his youngest son a steel spear. Timaeus grabbed the spear out of the air, and pierced his brother through his ribcage as he was about to deliver another strike. However, that did not drop the strong Helios, so dropping the axe in his right hand, he pulled the spear out of his chest, however, at that point the battle was decided. Before he could even regain his breath, Timaeus acted, impailing him in the stomach with Locris, and in the same fluid motion, picked the discarded axe off the ground, spun around behind Helios, and swung the axe into his back. Helios dropped to a kneel, his pride not allowing him to the ground, even in death.
The years to come, the Rhodes tried to maintain a normal life, however, it was difficult. While they couldn't be charged for what Helios had done, everyone in the villiage blamed and resented the Rhodes for the deaths of those three children. Timaeus lost all his friends, except Alice, he grew closer to him over the years, and was the only support he had, since his parents had gone into depression after their son's death.
At the age of nineteen, Timaeus didn't have much going for him, he simply lived a simple, reclussive life with his parents and Alice, who had become his wife. Yet fate is a cruel mistress, and refused to let Timaeus live in peace, as one night, during the middle of a storm, they were attacked by strange creatures. Timaeus woke to the sounds of his family screaming, he jumped out of bed, grabbing his spear and Locris, and ran outside. Monsters, there must of been fifty of them, that's what he saw. Ligers, goblins, and other beasts ferociously attacked the Rhodes. And in the middle of it all, standing in front of a large, grotesque black dragon, was a figure, laughing. He was hunched over, standing around 4' tall, drapped in black fur coats, his masculine, raspy voice echoed from within the golden mask he wore. His family brutally murdered, he called out to the figure, charging at him. However, the figure jumped onto the back of the dragon, who lightly swatted Timaeus away.
"I am Nero, the Black King, King of the monsters! And soon to be the ruler of everything!"
Timaeus was taken back by that insane display, "Why did you attack us! We had nothing to do with you!" he cried, tears pouring down his face.
Nero merely scoffed, "Hah! You took everything from me! I'm simply returning the favor."
The monsters seemed to vanish as quickly as they appeared and the black dragon began to take flight. As it flew off, Nero sneered, "However, in a way I should be thanking you, you gave me more power than I could have ever dreamed.. so I shall spare your life, this time."
Timaeus shouted, "You bastard! Come fight me!" as he junked his spear at him.
However the black dragon merely swatted it away, and the beast and its rider vanished, with Nero's raspy voice echoing, "If you want to get your revenge, come find me, and we shall fufil our destinies."
Timaeus, grieving over his lost loved ones, that he would get his revenge, he would find this, "Nero" and kill him, and every other one of those beasts that he ran into in the process.

Job: Hunter
Job Specific:
Guild: Yes
Guild Rank:
Weapons or Tools: Javelins: Six expandable spears that Timaeus keeps on his person. Each spear at its base is 10" long with a diameter of 1 3/5'', and each end extends another 8 3/4''. Each spear is crafted and enchanted to be able to pierce through the toughest hides and scales of whatever monster he may come across.
Locris: Timaeus's most valued treasure, his birthright. A knife that he recieved the day he was born. It is a small thing, its blade only 5" long, however, it is a very special weapon. Locris was forged using the last sample of a enchanted ore know as Spectrium.
Spectrium is a unique metal, it is iridescent and shines with gold, bronze, greens, and reds. It is a strong metal that is nearly indestructible, and can pierce the strongest of metals.
However, the most unique thing about Spectrium is the powers it possesses. Legend states that anyone who wields a sword from Spectrium shall never know defeat. Those rumors were either highly egxaggerated, or Locris is just not enough of a weapon to bring such tremendous strength.
What Locris does do however, is "resonate" with it's wielder's warrior spirit, increasing its masters strength, speed, and reflexes. Even while on one's person, it serves as a protective charm, as the resonance turns its user's aura into a protective barrier of sorts. The wielder's aura sends out an energy that counters and negates magical energy, although with such a small amount of Spectrium, its only enough to make all spells only slightly less effective, although, it is useful against fighting magical beings or weapons, at it does extra damage against them, interfering with their own magic at such a close range.
RP Sample: The sun shone down upon the small corall, as various lads and ladies were in the middle of practicing their swordsmenship through sparring, or shooting arrows or various other kinds of throwing weapons at targets. However, there was one man amongst the group, who seemed to have gotten there before anyone else, a man who in fact had been there since the morning before, not that any of them knew that however. He was sitting in the covered bench area, his arms folded and one leg crossed over the other. While everyone who actually paid him mind assumed he was asleep, that was not the case, he was fully aware of what was going on, he was just waiting for something, and none of the people there where worth his time anyway.
As he sat there, waiting, he suddenly felt someone, opening an eye, he saw a large, bear of a man in denim overalls standing in front of him.
"M..Mr. Rhodes, sir, your order is ready" the man stuttered.
Timaeus jumped up from the bench, a slight smile on his face, "Impressive, I thought it would take at least until late tonight for you to finish, maybe you are as good as they say."
The blacksmith, who's shop was adjacent to the training area they were all in, stood a full head taller looked at him nervously as he handed him the leather quiver he was holding. "I hope they're to your liking, Mr. Rhodes, sir."
Timaeus took the quiver from the man, and removed from it one of the six black steel rods it contained. Putting down the rest, he took the weapon in hand, finding the switches needed to extend it into a spear. He held it, checked its weight, "Hmm, very nice" then suddenly, launched at a thick, heavy wood target 40 feet away, and was impressed when the flimsy looking spear went straight through it.
"Hmm, very impressive indeed, you are an excellent craftsmen, one of the finest in the world I bet, yet you confine yourself to this one city, you should be more confident in your own abilites." Timaeus said, as he tossed a full pouch of money towards him.
The smith, flinching at first, regained his composure in time to catch the pouch, thank you, I appreciate your buisness.."
Timaeus laughed as he went to get his spear, "Don't worry about yesterday old timer, those imbeciles had what was coming to them, however, you, you're an honorable man", yesterday refering to when Timaeus first entered the smith's shop, three well trained, heavily armed men where just leaving, when one of them bumped into him, which led to him beating the hell out of all three of them.
