Player Name: Amaie
Character Name: Remorse
Alias: Rem
Gender: Female
Age: 12,300 Approx.
Race: Ancient - Persocom
Class: Epsilon Class Persona Computer
Sub-Class: Professional - Pirate
Sub-Class Rank:
Country: Skorus
Personality: When allowed, by her programming, she is an optimistic persocom and personable. The only time she really gets riled is if there is danger in the vicinity to the ship she is linked to. When it comes to her mind, she is a calculating being, though it barely shows that she isn't human on the inside. She was programmed with basic human emotions to start, but after a few thousand years of self maintenance only, some wires were deliberately crossed, and some unintentionally. The result was a slow evolution of true emotions which only come about at times of stress, that are only reigned in when it goes against her hard programming. Of course that means the three hard laws... though they did get mixed a little, and shored up by emergency maintence reboot.
Injustices do not get saved in her memory, therefore she just ignores what happens on her ship, and focuses on the wind along her deck, and the waves lapping along her hull, and the feel of sailors in the rigging. The moans of the enslaved below decks is muted to a background noise, screams of those who crew the boat next to her is a blur, the blood in the water is diffused to near nothingness.
History:
Power ON ... Booting... Logged On... Playback Accessed... Vocal Password Required ... ... 10 ... 9 ... 8 ... ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... ACCESS DENIED...
Rem opened her eyes to a destroyed and buried city. There were a myriad of sandy pyramids within the black ceiling. She had been powered down for... too long. She sent out tendrils of her being, and connected to the stream. (something like the web, though powered by magic, and eternal.) There were no other coms connected. That was odd... She tried to access all that happened while she was powered down, and noticed that all other forms of being like her were powered down. The stream was completely down.. No, it was just not being accessed completely by anything or anyone.
She made her way through the buried city until she found her way out of the dark dry crypt that it had become, and saw that she was completely surrounded by unremarkable desert. This place used to be called the valley of life, what happened... Must be what those crazy acolytes had called the apocalypse. Everything she knew was gone. There was nothing left at all.
She walked her way though the desert, until she came to the new bay that was now almost completely landlocked. She submerged herself to the bottom of that bay, and found, luckily a second piece of machinery that survived the end of the world. It was a transmutic submarine.
She took it to the surface, to the surprise of those small boats that were in the area, who cried monster, and rowed as fast as humanly possible away from the area. She took the sub down the only river that could accommodate the craft to the open ocean. She was quickly miles from the coast, and was able to transmute the entire form of the sub to that of one of the larger ships she saw trolling along the coast. She figured it was a cargo transport, and took on it's form, though quite a bit bigger and quite a bit more aquadynamic under the view of the ocean. The change of the mass versus displacement forced most of the propellant jets to be faced downward, to keep her afloat. She had made masts, sails and rigging, but she could go just as fast in any direction as any ship with a gale behind their sails. The only visual difference between her and any of the other ships that were from skorus were now the color... and the substance that they were made of.
Appearance:
Rem is a tall persocom, she stands at six feet even. She has wide and fluffy cat ears standing out on the sides of her head, that are covered in white and black fur. She has well tanned skin with a flawless complexion. Her eyes are a dark burgundy color and she has raven black hair that flows down to her posterior. Her creators set all those as her default looks, and that is how she chooses to remain for now, but if she chose to, she could change her skin tone, hair color and eye color.
As of now, she is wearing the rags of the ancient Skorus Army Persocom. These are accessorized with a great deal of ancient polyplast bandages that are meant to last the ages. She hasn't found any clothing in the world that comes close to the durability of what she is already wearing, so she hasn't changed yet. She has a great black and silver metal collar and extremely thick wristbands, but she is unable to remove them, and can't access her memory to the point of when she was forced to wear them.
Strengths/Powers:
Mechanical Mastery: If she touches anything that is electronic or mechanical in nature, she can understand it's mechanics or gain control of any of it's functions, and ply them to her own ends.
Knowledge of the Ancients: She has all her previous knowledge of the ancient cities. The only information that has been given an unknown password is her own personal memory banks. She can read, write, speak the ancient language. She knows exactly where every old town, city, and military installation was and (barring natural disasters) where it should be now.
Ancient Durability: Rem was made from top of the line materials from the age of advanced technology, and her body was made for war, which makes it extremely durable. It would take great force to pierce, cut or bludgeon her effectively.
Magitek Origin batteries: Rem's batteries absorb the force of magic that is inherent in the world around her, and gives her a nearly endless supply of energy.
-Battery Uses
1. Electricity supply: She can control the energy that has been stored in the battery to produce an abundance of electricity. This electricity can be used in any normal way electricity can. Ex. Lightning bolts, Electricity discharge field, Magnetics, electrical communication (both mechanical and mental, by touch) ect ect.
2: The battery throws out a field around her and absorbs any magic or natural electricity that comes into contact with it. If it is highly condensed magic, as in a spell it does not effect her, because the power behind the spell is absorbed.
Weaknesses:
Recharge and Defrag:Rem must power down for three to eight hours a day to recharge her magitek battery to full capacity and format all information gained that day. If she does not, a forced shutdown will occour that may result in the loss of information. Sometimes if she does not shut down, the consequences are dire, and when she boots up from the forced shut down, she will be required to do emergency maintinance for 1-3 days (kinda like getting sick)
Even though Rem is nearly impervious to magic and electricity, things that aren't inherently magical, but are propelled by a spell can still hurt her physically. If not created magically extreme elements can still hurt her as they would anything else, though she is a quite a bit more durable than a human.
Persocom Rule #1: A robot must protect its own existence.
If she feels someone is a threat, she will not suffer them to be around her. Even someone she has known for a long time. Eventually everyone around her learns that, due to her programming, she must look out for herself in every situation, and can not be trusted to have someone's back in a dangerous situation. This causes no one to get close and stay close to her for long in their line of work.
Shipbound: Until she can figure out a way to stay linked electronically to the ship, or have a one hundred percent guarantee that it will be safe, she can not leave it. It is another facet of rule number 1. The ship is the only other robot that she can contact at this time, and she must protect it's existence as she protects her own.
Job: Liveship Navi
Job Specific:
Guild: None

Liveship: This ship has the ability to modify it's self inside and out to fit her needs, becoming smaller or larger, and be colored differently on command.
bracelets and chains: She can filter her electricity through them to use as extremely effective incapacitation weapons.

- 1.) A robot must protect its own existence.
- 2.) A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
- 3.) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm, unless such an injury is due to the First or Second Law.
