Monsters, Monsters Everywhere
Monsters have started appearing in every country in Tirrna. Unknown to the Humans and the Magus, there are eight hidden portals scattered around the world, one in each country. that are randomly grabbing and spewing out all sorts of beasties. Each portal seems to have a type that mostly comes out of them, filling each country with different concentrations of particular types of monsters, but no one can tell for sure what is going to come out and start destroying things next.
