Player Name: KitsuneKitten
Character Name: Snowe Fouxx
Alias: Soul Fox
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Race: Magus
Class: E.S.P.er
Personality:
Snowe has adopted a very realistic view of the world in which he likes to sum up in the phrase of “Things are going to go wrong in life, the sooner you can accept that, the sooner you can overcome it.” With this phrase Snowe has developed a resolve to stay positive and optimistic even in the darkest of situations. He understands at firsthand the effects of rejection and has vowed to never treat those less fortunate as if they were less deserving. Snowe has the ability to easily influence his own emotions and quickly gain mastery over them if ever need be.
Expect Snowe to give a show of childish joy and carelessness, usually in high spirits and always willing to try and lighten the mood. He is a fairly sociable person, willing to talk to anyone in hopes of attaining new friendships. Surprisingly enough, even if you are entirely against his morals and ideas, Snowe still tries to stay understanding. Though don’t expect him to always act like a child, know that he will show a very serious side from time to time and know that he is always deeply considering what’s going on around him. Snowe will fight for what he believes to be right.
He has a love of writing, he believes that writing is a good way to receive some unknown insight which may help you better to understand you. Snowe also has a bit of fun trying to figure out the psyche of others, he finds interest in how others think so that he may compare his own thoughts to theirs. Snowe is the type of person who many will look to for leadership, though he’s always willing to step down from the title and allow someone who wants to lead take over. Snowe also has an incredible love for sweets, somehow he can be eating pure sugar day in and day out, and not get any negative effects what so ever. (it honestly befuddles me) The boy also has a very artistic style, not just in writing, but other arts like singing and painting. Though oddly enough he has a very… abstract method in all of his creative outlets.
History:
Snowe was born to non-magus parents, in the southern land of Parmus. His Parents were of a higher standing then most, yet still lower-class nobility at best. The birth of Snowe caused unknown types trauma to his mother. The doctors could only describe the effects as acute fatigue, and the night after Snowe’s birth, her heart had failed and her life ceased to exist. With such unexplainable circumstances, Snowe’s father declared him a demon and disowned him as his son, however being the only blood relative he could not entirely throw away his son along with his title. Needless to say he never took any part in Snowe’s life, leaving the boy to the care of whatever relative would take him in.
Surprisingly enough, the circumstances of his parents seemed to never affect Snowe. The child adopted a quick maturity along with interesting views on life. Snowe quickly began to stand up for those who were going through harsh times, being one who understood the pain of being alone. Even though the child was great at hiding all the sorrows his heart harbors he still needed a medium to transfer his stress through. So he began taking up numerous sorts of studies, trying to further his knowledge to prove some unknown point to his father and to find a helpful hobby to release his inner thoughts.
Snowe proved to be a rather gifted child in knowledge, seeming to grasp concepts with great comprehension, and even ended up showing an affinity for writing literary works of art mainly in forms of poetry and a few unfinished novels. Though through writing his guardians noticed something increasingly abnormal about him. Snowe would go through strange trance like states and begin scrawling incomprehensible symbols. Every time he did so the boy seemed as calm and serene as if he were floating carelessly in the ocean, which added an even more disturbing image to those who watched. When Snowe awoke from his daze, he acted as if the writings were entirely natural and was confused as to why others didn’t understand at all. Thinking it was some sort of demon who may have possessed the boy his relatives confiscated nearly all of the writings and burned them, Snowe only managed to save one particular piece of parchment which he believed was most essential to him, and they sent the boy to a priest hoping to cleanse the boy of all impurities.
Once the situation was brought to the attention of someone more versed in the world of Magus it became more suspected that the boy wasn’t possessed by any demon, but that he may be a new breed of Magus which has been showing up in more increasing numbers as of late. Snowe was trialed to reveal the secrets of his power if he had any at all, though what they found proved to be most difficult to decipher. It was obvious that Snowe was a type of Magus called an E.S.P.er, though the ambiguity of their breed coupled with the strange things he could do seemed to provide no conclusion to the mystery of his talents. The priests analyzed the events in his life, ranging from the most important to the seemingly insignificant. After much study the priest theorized that Snowe’s ability had to do with some form of Soul Manipulation. The proof he used started with the strange death of Snowe’s mother, he proposed it was Snowe’s ability feeding off the life energy of his mother to ensure he was even better than healthy, though this is only believed to have happened because the mother was already internally nurturing Snowe and willing to give as much as she could to the boy. Other events detail from Snowe being able to weave some sort of ethereal blue entity around the fist of an attacker and mutilate the arm. Though oddly enough, Snowe was the one who seemed physically damaged on his arm, as well as utterly exhausted.
After gaining some insight to what the boy could possibly do, the priests attempted to train him, hoping that the theory of his ability being soul related he might receive more help from their teachings due to the closer relation. Snowe was tutored under the Priests at the main temple in Simsene, though he was encouraged to use his own talents instead of trying to adopt the Priestly ways. Once Snowe gained enough control over his talent he left the temple and began to seek out more ways he could advance himself or find others like him that may know more about what an ESPer really is, and perhaps figure out the riddle of his childhood writing.
Snowe began using meditation to help calm his body and perhaps tune his physical being with his spiritual being. If what the Priests had said were true, Snowe believed he would need to be in a harmonious state in order to grasp the concepts of his nature better. In deep meditation Snowe began to see images appear in the darkness of his lidded eyes. At first Snowe could merely see a faint light blue glow emanating from within his being, but soon he noticed the glow took from starting with a simple ribbon like appearance and then even more detailed to certain animals. Though only two animals ever took shape, a Swan type bird and a Fox. Within time the animals would even speak to Snowe, holding conversations as if they were individual people. Snowe soon realized that these animals must be the projection of his soul, a representation of his own self.
It was begging to bother Snowe as he realized he was talking to himself, so he tried to focus on bringing out these spiritual representations into a material form so that he wouldn’t feel quite so insane. The task was tricky, and it never felt quite right though I guess that should be expected, somehow projecting your soul outside of your body doesn’t seem like it’s a safe or comfortable experience. With a small amount of effort Snowe was able to give form to his soul, and manipulate it outside of his body. Quickly following he was eventually able to give the animals their shape, voices, and personalities… though creepily enough the personalities seemed to bring itself out in the animals. The instant he made the animals entirely real and linked to him he felt a wave of sensory overload as three points of views entered into his mind at once. Snowe then discovered, the hard way, that his soul was his inside or out, and all information gathered by it would be directly transferred to him. It took quite a bit of time getting used to having multiple points of view as well as feeling for three different beings at once. It was in this time, Snowe decided having two representations of his soul was plenty, any more and he’d go mad with the amount of information his brain would have to decipher.
Once Snowe began tampering with the more difficult of magic’s he realized just how much fatigue it brought upon him. In order to fix this Snowe started going to sleep and waking up much earlier, then using the mornings to go on a multi-mile run for conditioning. Once the sun would rise a good ways into the sun he would rest in whatever the most serene environment was that nature had to offer. Places such as waterfalls were a delicacy to Snowe now, though a simple tree with a nice calm breeze could prove to be just as rewarding.
Appearance:
Snowe stands at 6’2 and weighs around 160 lbs giving him a rather slender build considering his height. His build is very athletic and toned, giving him the build of a track runner. His hair looks black until the light hits it just right, then you can see the obvious shades of blue which range from light to dark. His hair is always medium length, barely keeping out of his eyes, and always shaggy and edged in a very neat fashion. His eyes vary along the hues of blue as well, noticing a trend?, they tend to go from a grey/icy blue to a deep crystal ocean blue. He has slender features, giving him the resemblance of a fox.
Strengths:
~ Having mental prowess and brilliance gives him the talent to comprehend things easily
~ His ability gives him free range with a little creativity
~ Has a strong constitution granting him greater stamina, physically and mentally, than most
~ Has great athleticism due to the constant stress on his body from his ability, allowing him to be very agile and quick as well as strong and powerful.
Weaknesses: ( Same as strengths, balance weaknesses and strengths)
~ Sleeps for long periods of time to fully replenish his bodies energy
~ Trances out from time to time and writes in odd symbols, which causes people to perceive him as psychotic or deranged.
~ Requires a lot of energy to use his ability
~ Receives the mental pain of those he uses his ability against (while they have the physical damage, Snowe feels all the pain)
Rank: B
Ability: Soul Manipulation
Ability Description: The ability which awakened within Snowe is best described as Soul Manipulation. It grants him the ability to channel his soul energy, or life force, into magic much like a sorcerer would with the five elements. However, because it is pure energy its effects are quite different, with this ability Snowe can use his soul in any way shape or form with some creativity, the catch is that it is his soul, meaning he could very well kill himself if he pushes beyond what he can do. At lower levels he can merely warp his own soul to do simple things such as block an attack crudely or use it as an attack with simple burst attacks. At a moderate level he can give sculpture like forms to his soul and even allow it to speak freely (like his self-conscious in the form of his soul energy, a way to help gain introspection without getting to lost in thought) he can even transfer his soul energy into those of others to perform minor healings or simply to give an energy boost (say a Magus is tired and can’t use much more magic) and at the highest of rankings, if he deciphers the riddle on the parchment he wrote as a boy, he can figure out the secret to taking the soul energy from living beings which posses a weak will (such as plants or those who offer to give their energy) However these are mere examples of possible uses for his talent, when in reality he can do nearly anything, save controlling direct elements or other creatures (things that another class would reside over obviously) However, the amount of energy each move takes is large in comparison to its effect, meaning this ability quickly taxes the user of energy if he is not well trained or prepared, and secondly, Snowe feels every bit of pain he causes on others with this ability. His soul’s empathetic view’s transfers all the pain directly to Snowe so that he has a constant reminder of what he is doing to others.

The heat of my body conflicted with the cold, bleak air that surrounded me. I imagined how the clouds of smoke that came out with each single breath I took would disperse into the steam that emanated off my skin. My steady, slow heart beat kept the pace to the slow dance of my body as it bounced side to side. I could feel the harsh bite of the snow as my feet slid delicately, silently, into it. My eyes where locked on his movements. He was going to regret picking with that homeless boy.
Quickly my mind factored everything necessary, and eliminated what wasn’t out. My hands where open, waiting for his first mistake. I counted down my prediction of when he would move, three… two… one. A smirk flashed across my face as his weight shifted forward, his fist came first. I glided it away with my wrist, turning his body. His knee followed the punch, that I realized just a second to late was a distraction. He connected with my ribs, but only for a fraction of a second before I rolled back. Even though it was only a small percentage of the damage, it was still going to bruise.
I let my hands drop down to my sides, hanging carelessly. I smiled devilishly at my opponent. He clenched his fists and charged, and I knew this fight was mine. His first swing was a lot more forceful, he obviously wanted to end it quickly now. I calmly slid my self back, barely tilting my body out of the way of the punch. His knee came next, obviously this was one combination that he preferred, I spun effortlessly and now had his entire back to pick from. Now this was a game, I taped his left shoulder blade and said calmly “Broke” he spun around, the back of his fist flailing wildly through the air, I ducked it off and tapped his solar plexus with two jagged fingers. I could feel his muscles tense, and a puff of air flew from his clenched teeth. He paused for a moment, collecting himself I assumed, and I took the opportunity to stand and back away just barely out of his reach.
“You shouldn’t treat others as if they’re beneath you.” I called out to him, my eyes piercing through his skin
“You should learn to stay out of other peoples business!” he yelled back as he charged at me
“Damn nobility…” I muttered under my breath as I raised my stance. He threw a flurry of fists at me wildly, hoping to pound out my defiance. I evaded his random punches with ease and grace, moving around him as if I were gliding, and I practically was thanks to the snow. I began focusing so much on where his next strike would be that I didn’t hear the cheers and taunting of the other nobility boys stop, or the pads of feet stomping on the muffling ground. In a matter of seconds I went from dodging every one of his blows, to being blind sighted to the ground. I hit with a menacing thud, the impact only softened by the forgiving snow. I watched as to boys pinned either of my arms out against the ground, I kicked and writhed to get free but nothing could shake them off of me. The boy who could barely manage to get a single blow on me now hoped on my chest and reared his fist back to provide a thoroughly damaging and possibly fight ending blow. I kept my eyes open and stared directly into the boys gaze, I was not going to give up. I could feel a surge of energy pulse throughout my entire body, I assumed my adrenaline had kicked in finally. As the boy’s clinched fist neared closer and closer to my defenseless face, I noticed a nearly translucent blue weave of… cloth? Wrap around the boy’s forearm. Suddenly the weave sunk into the boys skin and a loud snap sounded through the air followed by the boy’s blood curdling scream. The other two saw what happened to the boy and took off running in fright. I tried to stand up and make my get away, but I quickly collapsed onto the ground again, the world begging to blotch out in spots of blackness. I watched as a few adults came to the boys aide, and then I saw darkness.
I awoke to a spinning world and hushed voices with frighteningly serious tones.
“What are we…. Him?”
“…Can we… He’s… monster”
“No!… not a… he’s a child”
“You saw… he obliterated… arm”
“Can we please keep it down… I’m starving in here” I said as my stomach roared as if on que. I turned my head to the sound of the voices, finding my body to be much more drowsy than even on Monday mornings. The people who were looking over me… not parents… seemed to be a little busy with spinning in awkward circles. “And try not to spin so much please” Though they didn’t look pleased at all.
“Do you know what you did yesterday Snowe?” the woman asked almost hypothetically it seemed. She was a shrill lady, she didn’t seem to like me too much and I definitely didn’t like her. She was much to proud of her heritage, and flaunted her stature more than any being I’ve ever seen… the pompous hag could choke on her fine silver for the words she said.
“Do you know what he did yesterday, Ma’am,” I replied before adding in, “and I haven’t eaten yet, so I know that much.” The long pause suggested that she was thinking of a witty retort, though when she opened those thin; puckered lips the remark wasn’t quite so eloquent as one could have hoped.
“And you won’t ever eat in this household again you demon spawn!” the wenches voice was shrill enough to produce Bleeding-of-the-ear Syndrome And surprisingly enough, she was correct this time. It would seem that I was to be inspected by a Priest for my odd behavior and washed free of my taints. Though I suspected fate had a different card to play for me, since I was then added to the temple and taught how to use magic. Interesting how things work out, if only that witch could see me now.
