The Magic Of Tirrna
The magic in the world of Tirrna is manipulated by those called Magus. The Magus are born with the ability to invoke the words, symbols, and circles of the ancients. These Siguls all hold power within them, and can be put to use in an unimaginable amount of ways. Each Magus chooses their path in magic early in life, whether they know they can invoke the ancient circles or not. It is the soul of the Magus that calls out to the type of magic they wield, giving them great strength when they start out on their journey upon the path of their deepest desire.
There is an ancient ranking system that is world wide in the lands of Tirrna, created by the first headmaster of The Academy, which was the first school of magic ever founded for the Magus class called Mages. This ranking system starts from the lowest of the low being F class, then works it's way down the alphabet to A. From there it goes into the numbers, starting with 9, and going down to the highest of the high, a rank 1. There has only been one Magus to ever be considered for rank 1, but he died of old age before the deliberations to actually give him that title.
Recently it has been told that some Monsters are also able to do magic, wreaking so much more havoc than the non-magical monsters. Their magic has a wide variety of visual or audio effects, which makes it quite hard for a Magus to discern if a monster is actually doing magic or not. This greatly disturbs almost every Magus, as so far they have been the only creatures in Tirrna to be able to wield the power of Magic.
